SUMMARY1 The cystometrograms of megaureter‐megacystis cases show a marked deviation from the normal pattern: large volumes held at high pressures and with minimal detrusor activity. 2 Some cases diagnosed as“bladder‐neck obstruction”have cystometrograms indistinguishable qualitatively from those of megacystis cases, but with smaller capacities. 3 In the investigation of the mechanism of these conditions, cystometry may yet provide some answers, but new methods will have to be developed as the standard cystometric filling curve provides only limited and relatively non‐specific information.
