SUMMARY1 A series of eighteen cases of carcinoma of the penis is presented in which treatment has been carried out by radiotherapy or surgery. 2 The incidence of metastatic inguinal gland involvement was low, and only one patient is so far known to have died of his disease. 3 The problem of the prevention of stricture formation following partial amputation is discussed. 4 Conservative management was found satisfactory in most cases and reduced both post‐operative morbidity and disability to a minimum.
