Akanthepsilonema helleouetae gen. et sp.n. (Epsilonematidae) is described from supralittoral marine sediments in New Caledonia. Its main features are a heterogeneous cuticule with large horn‐like dorsal spines and a field of copulatory horns in the male. The taxonomic position of the new genus within the family is discussed.
