Meiomenia swedmarki gen. et sp.n. is the first interstitial solenogaster described from North America, found in coarse sand off Friday Harbor, Washington. The cuticular scales and spines and copulatory spicules which characterize the new genus and species are described along with the internal anatomy. A comparison of this species with the two other described interstitial forms is included.
