— A new method of fatigue testing of thin wires of about 0·1 to 0·5 mm dia is described. Some results are presented. The extraordinary high fatigue limits of W‐Re alloys (about 1250 MPa) and B (2000 MPa) are reported. The non‐monotonous relationship between the fatigue limit and tensile strength is discussed for a wide range of solids.
