Abstract Seminal plasma from 57 donors was analyzed. Of these 34 were normal, 16 abnormal and 7 had normal motility but other parameters were abnormal. A fructose: glucose ratio performed on each sample indicated a close correlation with motility. The 16 abnormal samples had a significantly lower fructose: glucose ratio than the other 2 groups tested.
