A comparative study of intrauterine fetal resuscitation by administration of β‐stimulant and maternal oxygen inhalation was performed. Type II dips in labor recovered in 18% (8/44) of the cases after maternal O 2 inhalation; the effectiveness of this therapy was apparent in only the 1st stage of labor. The administration of β‐stimulant (5 mg Isoxsuprine + 20 ml of 5% glucose solution) brought about recovery from fetal distress in 95% (54/57) of cases, but its effective duration was less than 30 minutes.
