A 14‐year‐old Chinese girl with cryptomenorrhoea was found to have normal stature, secondary sex characters and external genitalia but a blind suburethral pouch 0.5 cm in diameter and a globular pelvic mass 6times4 cm in diameter. Ultrasonography indicated haematometra, left haematosalpinx, atretic cervix and vagina. The diagnosis was confirmed at laparotomy. Total hysterectomy left salpingectomy and left ovarian cystectomy was performed.
