Human ovarian pseudomyxoma peritonei was successfully transplanted subcutane‐ously and intraperitoneally to nude mice. The intraperitoneal tumor system showed especially close similarities to human pseudomyxoma peritonei. Serum carcinoem‐bryonic antigen levels were high both in the human tumor donor and in the majority of the nude mice recipients. Using nude mice with intraperitoneally transplanted tumors, the effects of the new anticancer agents cisplatin and adriamycin were investigated. Both singly and in combination, the two agents were effective in inhibiting tumor proliferation. The histological effect was remarkable in the mice that received treatment with both agents in combination. Serum CEA levels tended to be lower in the cases with apparent histological evidence of tumor damage.
