The main objective of this study was to assess the accuracy of fetal weight estimation by ultrasound. 124 patients were scanned and the estimated fetal weight calculated by the equation of Warsof revised by Shepard was compared with actual fetal weight of the newborns, who were born within one week of the last scan. In 93.3% of the time the estimated weight by ultrasound was within 15% of the actual weight.
