SUMMARY The results of a 10‐year survey of public patients presenting with post‐menopausal bleeding to the Royal Hobart Hospital are reviewed. In 13.1% of cases, the bleeding was caused by a malignant condition of the genital tract, thus highlighting the need for thorough investigation of patients with this symptom .
