SUMMARY A case of scar dehiscence involving the whole of the anterior vaginal wall following a vaginal hysterectomy and anterior colporrhaphy is described . Mrs. E. E., aged 63, attended the gynaecological clinic complaining of a prolapse causing quite a lot of discomfort. Frequency of micturition and slight urge incontinence were present, but no stress incontinence. The menopause had occurred at the age of 43 years. There had been no vaginal bleeding since .
