A vaginal approach by inserting a needle into the Pouch of Douglas for induction of Pneumoperitoneum is described after a trial in 120 patients. This is another avenue for inducing Pneumoperitoneum during the procedure of Laparoscopy. It is definitely a simple, safe and a more gynaecological approach than the abdominal route. It would be of particular importance if the patient is obese or had a previous abdominal surgery. There was no complication and no failure in this series .
