A 56‐year‐old female underwent treatment with leucovorin and 5‐fluorouracil for extensive metastatic moderately differentiated transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the renal pelvis. This resulted in a complete response for 20 + months. This combination has not been reported before in TCCs of the urinary tract and requires further exploration. (Aust NZ J Med 1991; 21: 244–245.)
