Hyperkalemia in a diabetic due to renal tubular unresponsiveness to aldosterone. K. M. Bannister and L. J. Barratt, Aust. N.Z. J. Med., 1982, 12, pp. 63–66. Studies of a patient with diabetic nephropathy and chronic hyperkalemia are reported. It is proposed that the underlying functional abnormality was renal tubular unresponsiveness to aldosterone.
