Med ., 1981, 11, pp. 59–63. The glucagonoma syndrome, due to a glucagon secreting islet cell neoplasm of the pancreas, is a rare condition which has been characterized only in recent years. Although the syndrome includes an unusual skin rash (necrolytic migratory erythema), diabetes, anaemia and weight loss, its rarity usually leads to delay in recognition and diagnosis. Here we report another patient with this syndrome who appears to have been cured by radical surgery after a four year delay in diagnosis
