A case of idiopathic chondrolysis of the hip is described in a 12 year old female who has the characteristics of arthro‐ophthalmopathy (Stickler's syndrome). This common connective tissue dysplasia may go unrecognized and is possibly an aetiological factor in the development of this disease process. A review of the literature is presented.
