Arterial injuries in general and arteriovenous fistulae in particular are uncommon complications of orthopaedic procedures. We report the case of a 75 year old patient who suffered an arteriovenous fistula following bone graft insertion for an un‐united tibia1 fracture. Aetiology diagnosis and management of these potentially serious injuries are reviewed.
