The case of a 42 year old woman who died as a result of gastric, hepatic and small bowel infarction due to severe atheromatous disease of the abdominal aorta, coeliac axis, and superior and inferior mesenteric arteries, secondary to radiotherapy 29 years earlier, is presented and discussed.
