A retrospective survey of all proven basal cell carcinomas in a three year period at the Mater Misericordiae Public Hospital, Brisbane, was carried out. This showed a much higher Incidence of Basal Cell Carcinomas occurring on the trunk and limbs than previously reported and this probably represents a continuing trend. The survey confirmed that Basal Cell Carcinomas can be treated surgically with little fear of recurrence.
