A study of the records of 164 infants with intrinsic obstructions of the duodenum admitted to the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, and the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, Sydney, over a period of 20 years, was made. The infants were classified into three groups: (1) Mongols; (2) Those with abnormalities mainly confined to the alimentary tract; and (3) Children with multiple anomalies. The anatomical variations are discussed, and the commonest site of the lesions was the second part of the duodenum. The associated anomalies are detailed.
