Forty‐three children admitted to hospital with burns were examined for hypertension, and 24‐hour urine specimens were analysed for catecholamines and 3‐methoxy‐4‐hydroxy mandelic acid. Sixteen children were found to have hypertension at some stage during their hospital stay. It would appear that catecholamine hypersecretion was not the cause of this hypertension.
