Recent advances in the technique of hepatic scanning with the use of radionuclides have made it useful to the surgeon in anatomical and pathological diagnosis. The ability to assess the progress of lesions within the liver or adjacent to it following injury or infection adds further to its value. This paper describes sonic recent experiences derived in the course of the use of such methods .
