At the Cleveland Clinic over 60% of patients coming to colectomy for primary inflammatory disease of the colon were fozlnd to have Crohn's disease. With the use of the same criteria for diaglzosis, Crohn's disease was found to be present in only 13% of a similarly selected series of patients from Melbozlrne.
