In an attempt to revive colopexy as a more desirable form of operative treatment than resection in non‐strangulating sigmoid ovules, the writers have developed a method of substituting several small innocuous loops in the left side of the colon for the long vulnerable sigmoid loop. Experimental procedures at autopsy are outlined, together with the histories of two cases in which the method was used with satisfactory results.
