Summary1 A case of chlorpromazine induced jaundice is described together with the laboratory findings. 2 The literature relating to the etiology and pathogenesis of the condition is briefly reviewed. 3 Reasons are advanced for attempting to avoid surgery in these cases. 4 It is suggested that puncture biopsy of the liver be performed in order to obtain this end. 5 It is further suggested that in prolonged jaundice treatment with A.C.T.H. or cortisone be instituted.
