Summary1 Attention has been drawn to the significance of hypothenar elevation in movements of opposition of the thumb and little finger. 2 An additional test for ulnar nerve lesions involving the supply to the hypothenar musculature is described–namely, persistent flatness of the dorsum of the hand on the affected side when opposition of the thumb and little finger is attempted.
