Summary. The location of hydatid cysts in this or that portion of the body is described, and the usual explanations are discussed as far as available knowledge permits. Special stress is laid upon the anatomical factors, but some attention is devoted to the little known influences of susceptibility, immunity, biological affinity, and peculiarities of terrain; for example, why lung cysts are seemingly much more common in Australia and New Zealand than they are in other hydatid countries.
