Summary An attempt has been made to demonstrate: 1. The necessity for accurate diagnosis in prostatic disease. 2. The value of prostatic massage and the microscopic study of prostatic secretion as a diagnostic aid. 3. The value of cysto‐urethroscopy as an aid to diagnosis and treatment. 4. The indications for various methods of treating bladder neck obstruction with particular reference to enucleation, resection and endocrinology.
