Multiple definitions of food web statistics: An unnecessary problem for food web research

Three of the statistics that are regularly used to describe food web structure have been defined in two different ways. The use of these statistics by several authors illustrates some of the problems caused by the existence of two different definitions for what is, at least in name, the same statistic.
