A bstract Retinal pigment epithelial tears are most commonly found in the context of aged related macular degeneration with associated choroidal neovascular membrane or retinal pigment epithelial atrophy. We report a case of spontaneous giant pigment epithelial tear in a patient with only relevant history of head trauma many years prior to presentation.
