Summary A new corneal punch is presented which facilitates cutting the corneal button from the endothelial surface of the donor eye. The instrument produces accurately and vertically cut corneal buttons which do not stick in the trephine blade. It is cheap to make, easy to use and to sterilize and requires minimal maintenance. Disposable trephine blades are used and these are readily available.
