Summary An initial clinical impression on the therapeutic effectiveness of clindamycin in human ocular toxoplasmosis is reported. Fourteen patients have been treated with clindamycin, a chemical analogue of lincomycin. All patients responded satisfactorily to therapy, with 71.4% of the patients responding within the first week of treatment. In most cases normal to near normal visual acuities were restored. No serious gastro‐intestinal side effects were seen. One patient developed rashes.
