S ummary A n objective method of assessing corneal œdema in the patient adapting to micro‐corneal lenses is described. A slitlamp microscope with a measuring eyepiece and using aclerotic scatter illumination is used, and the advantages of this method over other available methods are discussed. A modification to the Haag Streit 900 slitlamp microscope illumination unit produces sclerotic scatter more simply and quickly.
