Summary Clinical, epidemiological and virological studies of aseptic meningitis caused by ECHO viruses in AomoriR district during seven‐year period, 1961–1967, are reported. Clinical features and laboratory findings of these cases were not essentially different from those of meningitic cases caused by other kind of virus. Main causative agents in this period were ECHO 4, 6, 9 and 14 viruses.
