Examination of the nymph of Psilopsocus mimulus suggested that it might be a wood borer, a habit unknown in the order. Recent observations have confirmed this, making it the first known wood‐boring member of the Psocoptera. an augmented description of the nymph is given and adaptations to its unusual habit discussed.
