The genus Jacotia has been known from a single species, J. elegiae Faure, described from Cape Province, South Africa. Three new species of this genus are described from Australia: J. glyptus sp.n. from Canberra, J. idaeus sp.n. from eastern New South Wales and Queensland, and J. palmerae sp.n. from the south‐western area of the Simpson Desert in South Australia. These are small, fungus‐feeding species living at ground level. Two species vibrate their anal tube vigorously when disturbed.
