Podocinidae are recorded from Australia for the first time, represented by Podocinum monilicum sp.n. and P. pacificum Berlese, from Eucalyptus leaf litter in New South Wales, and P. taylori sp.n., from rainforest leaf litter in north Queensland. Derrickia Womersley is transferred from Podocinidae to the Trigynaspida.
