A fermentation trap which selectively attracts Mythimna convecta , but few other noctuid moths is described. It uses a standard cone trap design, based on a metal frame covered in open gauze with inner skirt at its base and removable catch bag at its apex. A food lure of port wine, sugar and water is suspended below.
