Bracon phylacteuphagus Austin sp. n. and Bracon cunfusus Austin sp. n. are described from southern Australia. Both are parasitoids of mature larvae and pupae of the eucalypt leafmining sawfly genus Phylacteophaga Froggatt and have been released in the north island of New Zealand in an attempt to control P. froggatti Riek. The latter was discovered there in March 1985 and is damaging ornamental and commercial eucalypt plantings. A key to separate the two species of Bracon F. is presented, along with notes on their relationships and biology. Additional comments are provided on other parasitoids of Phylacteophaga SPP.
