The bee genus Thaumatosoma , sometimes treated as a subgenus of Chalicodoma Lepeletier, is reinstated and redefined. It includes 2 Australian species, T. duboulaii Smith and T. remeata (Cockerell) comb. n. The male of T. remeata is described for the first time. Floral associations and a distribution map are included.
