Kerzhner recently has reduced the genus Tropiconabis Kerzhner to a subgenus of Nabis Latreille, and has synonymised N. nigrolineatus (Distant) with N. kinbergii Reuter. The name of the species that has usually been misidentified in Australia and New Zealand as N. capsiformis Germar is N. (T.) kinbergii Reuter. N. kinbergii is here newly recorded from Western Australia. Some changes are made to Woodward's subsequent key to genera of Australian Nabidae.
