
THE ANXIUS GROUP OF THE GENUS RHABDEPYRIS KIEFFER (HYMENOPTERA: BETHYLIDAE: EPYRINAE)

The 8 known species of the anxius group of the genus Rhabdepyris are reviewed. This group is characterised by the reduction or virtual absence of the radius of the fore wing of the female. All 8 species are new: R. anxius (Australian Capital Territory), R. arenarius (New South Wales), R. abjectus (South Australia), R. aletris (Northern Territory), R. avidus, R. ablusus, R. asperulus and R. arcanellus (Western Australia).
