Some aspects of the biology and behaviour of Adoryphorus couloni , a serious pasture pest in South Eastern Australia and New Zealand, are outlined. The behaviour and reproductive development of the adults are described and compared with those of some other scarabs. Of particular note is the long duration of the adult stage, especially as this does not feed.
