Larvae of Platyomopsis pedicornis axe recorded attacking mature plants of the introduced shrub legume Slylosanthes scabra (Vog.) at 3 sites in the southern Gulf of Carpentaria region of Queensland. The larvae, which hollow the tap root and lower main stem, killed all plants in a 0.3 ha study area.
