LIFE CYCLE OF HEM1CORDULIA TA U SELYS (ODON ATA: CORDULIIDAE) IN LAKE EUCUMBENE, N.S.W., WITH NOTES ON PREDATION ON IT BY TWO TROUT SPECIES

From larval samples collected over a 23 monlh period it was found that Hemicordulia tau was a univoltine summer species in Lake Eucumbene, N.S.W., with emergence occurring in the months December to April. Measurement of larvae from the diet of two trout species indicated size selective predation. with the fish selecting the larger larvae from the population.
