Amhlyseius casimiri, A. cabonus, A. sullivani and Typhlodromus armidalensis spp. n., discovered during investigations on the biological control of phytophagous mites in Australia, are described and figured. Augmented descriptions of A. fallacis (Garman), recently introduced to Australia for the biological control of tetranychid mites. A. spinigerus Chant and Baker, and A. anonymus Chant and Baker are given to facilitate comparison with the closely related A. casimiri.
