Perilampus australis Girault was reared from puparia of the tachinid Ceracia fergusoni (Malloch), the larvae of which had parasitised adult Chortoicetes terminifera (Walker). These observations constitute the first record of a hyperparasite of C. terminifera and the first host record for P. australis.
