A third species of the Argiolestes pusillus complex, A. parvulus sp. n., is described from the western coastal plain of south‐western Australia. A. parvulus occurs together with A. pusillus Tillyard, but not with A. pusillissimus (Kennedy) from the southern coastal region. The females of the three species can be identified only by association with males. Species of Argiolestes Selys known from eastern Australia are not as closely allied to the A. pusillus complex as species of the complex are to one another, indicating that speciation must have occurred within the south‐west.
