Data for two seasons are presented on the abundance and seasonal incidence of 17 species (6 orders) of insect found feeding on unsprayed cotton. Assessments of damage are given for several of the more important species which include Thrips imaginis, Austroasca viridigrisea, Aphis gossypii, Austracris guttulosa and Anomis flava. Population fluctuations are discussed in relation to crop phenology and insect mortality factors.
